There are a few variations in the eyelashes on American Girl dolls with the classic mold through the years. This is not comprehensive since
1986-early 1990s Samantha
Early Samantha dolls have what are called “spider lashes”. I will try to get a better picture with her eyes closed as well.
1991-1999
Most other Pleasant Company era dolls had soft, brown eyelashes.
2000-Present
After Mattel took over in 2000, all dolls were given hard, black eyelashes.
