It can be hard to differentiate between all the face molds that American Girl dolls can have, so I will include examples to help you determine what face mold your doll has. All molds will have minor variations through the years as the old molds wear out and new molds were made.
I suggest focusing on the eye, nose, and mouth shapes from the photos to compare with your doll. The face paint and eyebrow shape can vary between dolls with the same face mold.
*I do not have dolls with every face mold, so I have made a note in the captions as to where the image is from if it is not my own.
