How Rare is Each Just Like You Doll?

There has been a chart going around on social media showing how rare or hard to find every Just Like You doll is and I created my own updated version. Factors for determining rarity include how long the doll was available, how often it appears on the secondary market, and how much the doll sells for. This chart was updated in August 2023.

I’ve included every doll prior to the Truly Me revamp in late 2022. I consider Truly Me 70 and 73 as still available since their released versions (105 and 114) have no major changes in appearance besides the new meet outfits.

Truly Me dolls 87 to 92 are currently still available through American Girl as well. There are some earlier TM dolls still available on AG’s website, like 25, 42, 44, 64, 67, 71, 77, and 85, but I believe they will be retired as they sell out.

The chart also lists Girl of Today 1-20 twice since some people prefer to have a true Pleasant Company doll. If the doll has a body tag that says “American Girl”, it’s a Mattel doll (unless it was sent to the doll hospital, but that’s a discussion for another day).

Not sure what these dolls look like? The American Girl Wiki has a handy chart of each of these dolls with pictures and descriptions of their hair, skin tone, eye color, eyebrow shape, face mold, and sometimes what named dolls look similar to a specific Truly Me doll.

Please let me know your thoughts on this chart and if you think anything should be amended by leaving a comment below. I want to make an accurate JLY rarity chart that will be useful for everyone.
